馬來西亞商業及工業協會 (MayCham) 係大馬在台最具代表性的工商組織, 本協會理事長劉康捷頃於本月14日榮膺甲州元首敦莫哈末卡立耶谷77歲華誕封賜拿督 (D.P.S.M.)  勛銜，各界人士紛表祝賀與肯定，本會理監事咸感與有榮焉。

劉康捷就任本協會理事長以來，與我國駐台代表處配合無間，持續為促進馬台商業及経貿交流和鞏固友誼付出心力。並且長期關懷大馬留台學生的生活安全與權益，致力於大馬人才的栽培與接軌，積極貫徹「旅台大馬人，團結一條心」的理念，在台灣所舉辦的幾個大型的活動，都得到廣大的回響與認同。

As the President of the most influential Malaysian organization in Taiwan - MayCham, Mr. James K.C. Lau was among one of the recipients of the Malacca State Honors Darjah Pangkuan Seri Melaka (D.P.S.M.), which also carries the title ‘Datuk’, in conjunction with the 77th birthday of Malacca Yang Dipertua Negeri Mohd Khalil Yaakob on November 14th.  Words of congratulation and affirmation are pouring in from all walks of life for this monumental and deserved achievement.

Ever since Datuk KC Lau became the President of MayCham, he has been continuously collaborating closely with the President of Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre in Taipei (MFTC) in promoting a sustainable friendship and trade relation between enterprises in Malaysia and Taiwan.  His long term commitment towards the safety and well-being of Malaysian students in Taiwan and cultivation of Malaysian talents are part of his efforts to ensure that his vision of a strong unity among Malaysians in Taiwan is always upheld.  Datuk Lau was also the key organizer of several major events which have become prominent and were widely and well recognized.
